Why We Are

The Mandate

Kingdom Builders in Every Sphere

The core mandate of One Kingdom Ethos is straightforward: equip Kingdom Builders. A Kingdom Builder is any believer — in any industry, any vocation, any walk of life — who understands that their work is not separate from their faith. Their marketplace is their mission field. Their profession is their assignment. And the Kingdom of God belongs not just inside the church walls but in every board room, classroom, hospital, courtroom, and home they occupy.

This vision was born out of a deeply held conviction that the body of Christ has been discipled for Sunday but not equipped for Monday. Most believers know how to worship — but many do not know how to carry the weight of Kingdom identity into the pressures of real life. One Kingdom Ethos exists to close that gap.

We serve people across all industries — real estate, healthcare, education, finance, ministry, entrepreneurship, and beyond. The content we build is intentionally cross-sector because the Kingdom is cross-sector. The same God who anoints a pastor also anoints a nurse, a developer, a teacher, and a CEO. We simply help them see it, believe it, and walk in it.

We are not building a ministry community. We are building a Kingdom culture — one that takes the nature, character, and authority of Jesus Christ into every corner of the earth.

Isaiah 61:1-4 ESV

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion — to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified. They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations."

Thematic Studies

Kingdom Thematic Bible Studies is a deep-dive, systematic Bible study series led by apostolic and prophetic teachers Curtis and Michele. Rooted in the accurate Word of God, each series explores a specific biblical theme through the lens of Christ's thinking — cultivating the mind of Christ and equipping Kingdom Builders to think biblically, live purposefully, and walk boldly in their divine assignment. This is not a surface-level devotional. This is comprehensive Kingdom training designed to renew your mind, deepen your walk with Christ, and activate the purpose God deposited in you before you were born. We meet every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, 7–9 PM EST via Zoom.

Koinonia Fellowship

Kingdom Koinonia Fellowship is an authentic covenant community rooted in genuine connection, mutual edification, and the accurate Word of God. This is a gathering place where believers come together to study, grow, and break bread — a space where your calling is validated, your gifts are welcomed, and your journey is honored in covenant relationship. Kingdom Koinonia Fellowship is designed for Kingdom Builders who are hungry for more than Sunday morning — those who desire real community, real conversation, and real growth in Christ. Come as you are. Leave equipped, encouraged, and connected to a family of believers walking out their Kingdom assignment together. We gather the 1st Sunday of each month, 4–6 PM in Chesapeake, Virginia.

The Role of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is not a supporting element of this ministry. He is the central figure — the One the entire ministry is designed to introduce people to and lead them into deeper relationship with. Every curriculum, every session, every worksheet, and every teaching tool within One Kingdom Ethos is designed with one non-negotiable in mind: we are bringing people to God, not to us.

This conviction is drawn directly from Exodus 19:4, where God told Moses — not to bring Israel to Moses, but to bring them to Himself. That is the mandate we carry. We are the bridge. The Holy Spirit is the other side. And our measure of success is not a participant who feels better after sessions. It is a participant who knows how to hear His voice, follow His leading, and walk with Him every day of their life long after our involvement ends.

In practice, this means every program includes intentional space for participants to develop their own personal relationship with the Holy Spirit — listening exercises, personal prayer frameworks, and reflection prompts that ask not 'what did the teacher say' but 'what is the Holy Spirit saying to you.' We teach people how to hear. Then we get out of the way.

Kingdom Collaboration

One Body - Many Members

One Kingdom Ethos does not exist in isolation — and we do not believe it is meant to. One of the core convictions of this ministry is that the Kingdom of God is not built by single ministries working independently, but by Kingdom communities finding one another, connecting with intention, and co-laboring as the one body of Christ that Scripture describes.

We are actively seeking relationships and collaborations with other Kingdom marketplace ministries in the Hampton Roads area and beyond. Not to duplicate what they are already doing — but to discover where the puzzle pieces fit. Every ministry God has raised up carries a specific grace, a specific assignment, and a specific community. When those ministries find each other and begin to honor what each one carries, something emerges that none of them could produce alone.

Our approach to collaboration is simple: we are looking for Kingdom connections, not competition. We celebrate what God is doing through others. We ask where our lanes intersect. We look for the gaps — the needs that are not yet being met — and we ask whether our assignment covers any of them. And where there is genuine alignment, we build together.

Curtis and Michele Bryant believe that the fragmentation of the body of Christ is one of the enemy's most effective strategies against the Kingdom — and that unity among Kingdom-minded believers and ministries is both a theological mandate and a practical weapon. One Kingdom Ethos is committed to being a ministry that builds bridges, not walls.

We are not looking to be the biggest ministry in the room. We are looking to be a faithful piece of the puzzle — connected to the other pieces, serving the same picture, and together making visible what no single piece could show alone.

1 Corinthians 12:20-21 (ESV)

"As it is, there are many parts, yet one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, 'I have no need of you,' nor again the head to the feet, 'I have no need of you.'"

Ephesians 4:16 (ESV)

"...from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love."
